Benjamin Kopin

Benjamin Kopin is the founder of Dundee Long/Short Investment Partners, L.P. a private limited partnership focusing primarily on equity trading.

Prior to his work with Dundee Long/Short Investment Partners, Mr. Kopin practiced public accounting in 1980-1981, and was the Director of Research at Gilford Securities from 1984-1991. In addition Mr. Kopin participated in the founding of Gilford Partners, a hedge fund that mainly short sells equities and options, in 1989. In 1991, he opened Lynx Partners, a hedge fund focused primarily on short selling. In 1996, he closed Lynx Partners and began working for Citadel Investment Group, another hedge fund, where he specialized in purchasing and trading private investments in public companies, and ran a long/short equity portfolio. In 2000-2001 he worked at Ritchie Capital, trading a long/short equity portfolio. After leaving Ritchie Capital, he was a private investor, trading individual equity securities and high-yield bonds, and investing in other private limited partnerships.

Mr. Kopin graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Accounting. He received a Masters of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg School Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
