Don E. Scott

Don Scott is the Chief Executive Officer for Wanger OmniWealth and brings nearly 30 years of experience serving an array of high net worth families including investors, business owners, and corporate executives. Over the years Don has immersed himself in understanding the major issues which highly successful families face, including investments, philanthropy, estate planning, income tax, insurance, and structuring. His ability to assess each individual client’s unique situation at a deep level allows him to customize solutions for even the most complex needs.

Wanger OmniWealth was formed in 2009 between Wanger Investment Management Inc., and OmniWealth, Ltd, Don’s Denver-based predecessor firm. Wanger OmniWealth is a unique firm that provides individual family offices and investment solutions to its high net worth clients.

Don spent the first 19 years of his career serving highly successful families, ultimately as a partner, in a “big five” accounting and consulting firm. He was recruited by Pell Rudman Trust Company in 1998 to establish and manage the Denver office. Pell Rudman was later acquired and became Atlantic Trust.

Over a nine-year period, Don led the Denver office to become one of the most successful within Atlantic Trust. Don has been a frequent speaker over the years and has had numerous publications dealing with issues facing highly successful families. He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Central Arkansas. He has supported numerous charities and is currently an executive board member of the Denver Area Council – Boys Scouts of America.
