James L. Cahn

James L. Cahn is the Chief Investment Officer at Vestian Group. He was previously a Principal with Wanger Investment Management, Inc. where his responsibilities included investment research, risk management and client services.

Prior to joining Wanger Investment Management in 2007, Mr. Cahn was a Senior Financial Risk Consultant with Quantitative Risk Management Inc. (QRM). QRM specializes in managing interest rate, credit, and volatility risks for major financial institutions. He co-led the Analytic Consulting Team that worked with clients to determine optimal market model calibration parameters and hedging strategies. Prior to QRM, Mr. Cahn was an Analyst with JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management located in New York and Chicago, where he assisted institutional clients in constructing efficient portfolios to meet long-term cash flow requirements.

Mr. Cahn received a B.S. in Economics and Performance Studies from Northwestern University and is currently pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Analytical Finance from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Cahn serves as co-chair of the Emerging Artist Advisory Committee at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and sits on the Board of the Society for Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago.
